FASF Special Rules and Guidelines
FASF has six special rules:- A signed Informed Parental Consent form is required for every Human Subject under 18 years of age
- Judging categories: Elementary Division projects are judged as one category. Junior Division Projects are assigned to three judging categories—Life, Earth or Physical. Senior Division projects are judged as one category. Group projects are judged against all group projects.
- Elementary Division and Junior Division projects follow simpler rules than Senior Division projects. See Elementary Division, Junior Division or Senior Division rules.
- Senior Division-- Your one-page Abstract may be submitted in your own format; the Abstract Form in the Rules Wizard is a guide, not a requirement for FASF. (The ISEF signature page is not required and your Abstract will not be “Embossed” as “Official” by FASF). Post your Abstract on your display board. We suggest you also leave ten copies on the table in front of your display for Judges’ use.
- Senior Division students may attend the ISEF as an “observer” only once. Observer status is reserved for freshmen and sophomores.
- All students attending the ISEF will be required to produce both a written and a verbal report documenting their Science Fair experience, to their school and the FASF Board, by June 1, 2008.
